Toyo has launched a personal AI assistant that integrates directly with iMessage and can make phone calls to users.
The assistant connects to workplace tools including email, calendar, Linear, Todoist, Asana, and Slack to automate routine tasks. Users onboard through a phone call with the AI, which then learns their communication style and work patterns.
The platform handles several core functions. It triages email overnight and sends morning briefings via text about urgent messages. The assistant can draft email replies in the user's voice and prepare meeting summaries. For project management, it connects meeting notes with task management tools to prevent follow-ups from being forgotten.
Toyo operates through voice and text interfaces. Users can call the assistant directly, send voice notes while driving, or have it initiate calls to provide updates. The system also answers knowledge queries about company information, such as current pricing or recent changes.
The company was founded by Aidan Hornsby and team members who previously built internal automation agents. According to Hornsby, the founders were "spending our days maintaining an increasingly complex agent stack" before deciding to productize their tools.
"I start the day with a quick briefing of what is most important when I sit down at my desk and check my inbox way less than I used to throughout the day," Hornsby said in a Product Hunt post.
Toyo requires no additional app downloads since it operates within iMessage. The service connects to existing workplace software through integrations rather than requiring users to switch platforms.
The assistant has been tested internally for several months alongside a group of early users. The company is offering a one-month free trial for users who apply the code "PRODUCTHUNT" at checkout.
Toyo competes in the growing market for AI executive assistants, where companies like Duckbill and others are building similar automation tools for busy professionals.
