XBuild tackles one of construction's most persistent bottlenecks: estimating and proposal generation. Its AI-native platform lets contractors generate finished, accurate estimates from uploaded takeoffs, measurement reports, or plain-language project descriptions, compressing a process that traditionally takes days into about 15 minutes. In its first year the platform ran over 15,000 projects representing roughly $250M of construction work, and in January 2026 it launched a dedicated AI-powered residential roofing proposal product. Founded by former Uber and Postmates executives alongside a civil engineer, XBuild raised a $19M Series A led by N47 with participation from Andreessen Horowitz and Rackhouse Ventures to scale its estimating engine across more trades.
