Willow (legal entity Willow Care, Inc.) builds a voice-first typing layer for desktop and mobile. Its Mac app and iOS keyboard transcribe speech, then run a text-to-text formatting pipeline the company says is tuned on Meta's Llama models to apply punctuation, tone and app-specific formatting; users can add custom vocabulary terms and per-context writing styles. Unlike some competing iOS dictation keyboards, Willow ships a full keyboard so users can edit dictated text without switching keyboards. Co-founders Allan Guo and Lawrence Liu attended Stanford and dropped out; the team went through Y Combinator with an earlier healthcare idea before pivoting to dictation and relaunching in the spring 2025 batch. TechCrunch reported enterprise users including Uber, Heidi Health and Zego, and 50% month-over-month user growth after launch. Pricing is freemium: a free Basic tier, Pro at $15/month ($12/month billed annually), Business at $35/month ($28 annually) with SOC 2 and HIPAA controls, and custom enterprise plans.

As of November 2025 Willow had raised $4.5 million from Box Group, Y Combinator, Burst Capital and angel investors including HubSpot's Dharmesh Shah, Gusto's Tomer London, Reddit co-founder Alexis Ohanian, former Yelp COO Kipp Bodnar, Opendoor CEO Kaz Nejatian, Owner CEO Adam Guild and Instacart co-founder Max Mullen.
