Trent AI is an agentic security company building layered, context-driven security infrastructure for AI agents and multi-agent workflows. Its platform uses a proprietary judgement layer combined with reinforcement learning to power specialized security agents that monitor, govern, and protect autonomous AI systems as they take real-world actions. Launched from stealth in 2026 and founded in 2025, the UK-based company was co-founded by Eno Thereska (former Distinguished Engineer at Alcion, AWS, and Confluent), Neil Lawrence (DeepMind Professor of Machine Learning at the University of Cambridge and former Director of ML at Amazon), and Zhenwen Dai (former ML Scientist at AWS and Senior Research Manager at Spotify). Trent AI raised a $13M seed round led by LocalGlobe and Cambridge Innovation Capital, with angel participation from leaders at OpenAI, Spotify, Databricks, and AWS.
