Sunday Robotics is a Mountain View, California-based startup building Memo, an autonomous home robot designed to perform time-intensive household chores through real-world object manipulation. The company was founded by Stanford PhD roboticists Tony Zhao (CEO) and Cheng Chi (CTO), who previously worked at Google DeepMind and Tesla. Sunday's approach centers on scaling manipulation data without teleoperation, using a patented Skill Capture Glove distributed to households and a 'data flywheel' to train frontier manipulation models, with plans to deploy Memo to real homes through a beta program. ## Funding In an announcement under the tagline 'No More Demos,' Sunday Robotics raised a $165 million Series B at a $1.15 billion valuation, led by Coatue Management, with Coatue's Thomas Laffont joining the board. The company said the capital would fund deployment of Memo and expand its research and engineering teams.
