Steward builds AI-first anti-money-laundering and compliance software designed specifically for the complexity of investor onboarding in investment services, an area where legacy AML tools, built for retail banking, fall short.

The platform automates AML and KYC for sophisticated investors, fund managers and allocators, handling the layered ownership structures, entity types and ongoing monitoring requirements that make institutional onboarding slow and manual. Steward's goal is to reduce onboarding friction while strengthening compliance confidence.

The company is already trusted with compliance across $100 billion in investor assets, with clients including Connect Ventures, Unruly Capital, IAB Group, Motive Partners and Outward VC, alongside several Tier 1 institutional allocators.

Steward raised $5 million in an oversubscribed round led by Motive Partners, with participation from Outward VC, Cooley and a group of founders and operators, plus angels including Shai Wininger, Tom Keiser and Keith Grose. The company is dual-headquartered in New York and London and is led by Arik Oslerne (Co-Founder & CEO), former COO of Vauban (acquired by Carta), and Moshe Lieberman (Co-Founder & Chief AI Officer), a founding engineer at Fiverr and the first employee at Lemonade.
