Source.ag is an Amsterdam-based agriculture technology company that builds applied AI software for Controlled Environment Agriculture (CEA), the greenhouse-grown segment that supplies a large and growing share of fresh produce in Europe, the Middle East and North America. Its platform helps commercial growers make better daily decisions about climate control, irrigation, labor and crop strategy for high-value crops like tomatoes, bell peppers, cucumbers and strawberries.

The core of Source.ag is a grower-facing app that ingests greenhouse climate data, irrigation schedules, plant phenotype information and grower notes, then layers AI models on top to forecast yields, recommend setpoint changes and flag anomalies before they become losses. The company describes its software as a digital co-pilot for greenhouse managers rather than a replacement for them, designed to scale scarce expert know-how across larger and more diverse portfolios.

Founded in 2020 by Rien Kamman and Ernst van Bruggen, Source.ag's software now runs in more than 300 greenhouses across 2,500-plus hectares in 18 countries, contributing to the daily produce supply for an estimated 40 million people. The company partners with seed company Enza Zaden and grower cooperative Harvest House, integrating crop genetics and commercial planning into its forecasts.

In November 2025 Source.ag closed a $17.5M Series B led by Astanor Ventures, with participation from Enza Zaden and Harvest House, pushing total funding past $60M since founding. The capital funds expansion into new crops, deeper yield forecasting capabilities and tighter integration with third-party grower data platforms and equipment.

Source.ag competes with companies like Priva, Hoogendoorn, 30MHz and Blue Radix as well as growers' in-house data teams. Its differentiation rests on a pure software, vendor-neutral approach, a strong product feedback loop with operational greenhouses, and partnerships across the CEA value chain from seed to retailer.
