SnapMagic (formerly SnapEDA) builds AI-assisted electronics design tools made by electrical engineers for electrical engineers, removing monotonous tasks from circuit board design. Its electronic component database serves over 2 million engineers, and in 2023 it rebranded from SnapEDA and launched SnapMagic Copilot, an AI copilot to help automate circuit board design. The company was founded in 2013 by Natasha Baker and was part of Y Combinator's Summer 2015 batch. It is backed by Y Combinator and investors including Bow Capital and Friends & Family Capital, plus an undisclosed round from AI and developer-tool investors around its rebrand.
