Skyfire is building payment and identity infrastructure that lets autonomous AI agents transact across the open internet without human intervention. Launched in 2024, the company provides what it calls an "agent trust stack" so that agents can prove who they are, hold and spend funds, and complete purchases the same way human customers do online.
The platform combines several components. Know Your Agent (KYA) issues a portable identity token that binds the platform, the agent and the human principal, giving agents verifiable, programmatic access to websites. The Agentic Wallet lets agents enroll a user's credit card or stablecoins and collect spending mandates, while "Buy for Me" enables an agent to complete an end-to-end purchase on a user's behalf. Funding options include credit and debit cards, ACH, wire and USDC on Base, and the system uses tokenized card rails compatible with networks like Visa, Mastercard and Discover.
Skyfire positions itself as foundational infrastructure for the emerging "agentic economy," partnering with security and infrastructure providers including F5, Akamai, DataDome and Okta to help agents bypass blocks such as CAPTCHAs and 403 errors. The company raised an initial 8.5 million dollars in 2024 with backers including a16z CSX, Coinbase Ventures and Brevan Howard Digital, and exited beta in 2025 with an enterprise-ready payment network. It targets developers, enterprises and merchants preparing for agent-driven commerce.
