What Sea AI Lab does
Sea AI Lab (SAIL) is a research organization working to understand and create intelligence from first principles and apply it to challenging problems. It conducts foundational AI research and contributes models and methods to the broader community.
Key capabilities
SAIL's work spans five directions: AI for science (including quantum chemistry that blends physics-based methods with machine learning), AI systems (improving throughput, latency, and resource efficiency), trustworthy AI (safe, private, and fair systems), generative AI (probabilistic foundations and tools), and language models. Its impact appears through publications at venues such as ICLR, NeurIPS, and ICML and open-source releases, including the Sailor multilingual model family for Southeast Asian languages and the Zero Bubble Pipeline Parallelism training technique.
Who it's for
SAIL is a research lab serving the AI and scientific research community through published work, open-source models, and foundational advances in machine learning.
