What RoboForce Does
RoboForce develops general-purpose physical AI robots designed to take on dirty, dangerous, and repetitive industrial labor. Its flagship system, TITAN, is positioned as a general-purpose AI robot for demanding industrial environments, targeting sectors such as solar energy, data centers, shipping and ports, mining, and manufacturing automation. The company is building a "physical AI stack" that combines robotic hardware, machine-learning foundation models, and simulation environments to move from research toward large-scale commercial deployment amid growing industrial labor shortages.
Funding & Background
RoboForce was founded in 2023 in California by Leo Ma (CEO) and Calvin Zhou, bringing together robotics and engineering talent from Carnegie Mellon University, the University of Michigan, Amazon Robotics, Google, Waymo, Cruise, Tesla Robotics, ABB, and Apple. In March 2026 the company raised an oversubscribed $52M round led by YZi Labs, with Jerry Yang participating alongside existing investors Myron Scholes, Gary Rieschel, and Carnegie Mellon University, bringing total capital to about $67M. The funds accelerate development of its robotics foundation model and the commercialization of TITAN.
