Range is an AI-driven wealth management platform built for high-income households — typically professionals earning $300K or more, or families with $1M to $10M in investable assets. It pairs a proprietary AI advisor called Rai, which fields thousands of financial-planning queries each month, with flat-fee human CFP advisors who handle complex planning across investments, tax, estate, equity compensation, and insurance.

The company was founded in 2021 by CEO Fahad Hassan and is headquartered in the Washington, DC area. Range now serves more than 5,000 client households across all 50 US states, with approximately $400M in directly managed assets and around $9.5B in assets under advisement when held-away accounts are included. Its flat-fee subscription model — a fixed annual price regardless of portfolio size — differentiates Range sharply from the traditional 1% AUM-percentage RIA industry.

Range raised a $60M Series C in November 2025 led by Scale Venture Partners, bringing cumulative funding to more than $100M. Earlier rounds included a Series B in 2023, with backers across fintech and enterprise SaaS funds.

Compared with Facet, Farther, and Savvy Wealth, Range leans hardest into the combination of an in-house AI agent (Rai) and a flat-fee economic model. Versus Origin Financial, Range is positioned upmarket — targeting affluent households needing CFP-level planning rather than a consumer money OS. Trade-offs include a subscription cost that is rarely justified below a roughly $300K income threshold.
