Open is a unified AI customer support platform built for high-volume businesses such as airlines, banks, payment providers and fast-growing startups. Formerly known as OpenCopilot, Open combines AI agents, an agent workspace, and omnichannel support (voice, chat, email and social) into a single system. Its AI agent is designed to plug into existing business tools and independently resolve complex Level 2 and Level 3 issues that typically require human reasoning and system actions, not just FAQ deflection. Founded by Mo Gharbat, Open went through Y Combinator and raised a $1.52M pre-seed in January 2025 led by YC with angels including Mollie/Bird founder Adriaan Mol and Mollie CEO Koen Koppen. It later raised a $7M round led by Y Combinator and X by Unifonic, with participation from Shorooq and Sadu, to scale its enterprise AI support across payments, security and e-commerce customers.
