Mixus is an AI agent platform that embeds autonomous agents directly into the workplace tools teams already use — primarily email and Slack — so people can manage multi-step workflows without switching environments. Users set up agents by emailing instructions to an agent address, and Mixus builds, runs, and manages those agents from the inbox, with a trust layer that keeps humans in control via human-in-the-loop verification and shared memory across tasks. Co-founded by Elliot Katz and Shai Magzimof and born out of Stanford, Mixus launched in beta in late 2024 and quickly onboarded customers including retail chain Rainbow Shops plus firms across finance and tech. The company raised $2.6M in pre-seed funding in 2025 from investors including Everywhere Ventures, Hannah Grey Ventures, Liquid 2 Ventures, FullCircle, and Ovtr — positioning email as a surprisingly powerful interface for the next wave of accountable AI agents.
