What it does
MeetGeek is an AI meeting automation platform built around three layers: capture, automation and measurement. Its Meeting Agent joins Zoom, Google Meet and Microsoft Teams calls from a connected Google or Outlook calendar, while a Chrome extension and desktop app provide bot-free recording and an iOS/Android app captures in-person conversations. Everything is transcribed with automatic speaker recognition and auto language detection across 100+ languages, then turned into AI summaries, action items ("AI Next Steps"), topic timelines and highlights. Meeting analytics built from 100+ KPIs cover talk-time, sentiment, engagement and team-level trends, and a Sales Mode adds objection detection, competitor mentions, win/loss signals and coachability scoring.
Agentic direction
The company is repositioning from a note-taker into what it calls an agentic AI workspace. Over 2024-2025 it shipped AI Chat across past meetings, a Chrome recorder, Voice Agents that handle follow-ups, and "Chat with Tools", which lets users orchestrate automations from natural conversation. More recently it launched AI Studio — a hub for Meeting Skills (26+ pre-built agents across 13 role categories that score calls, draft follow-ups, flag churn or competitive signals and ship digests automatically), reusable prompts and Voice Agent configuration. CEO Dan Huru has framed the long-term vision as turning business conversations into structured data and enabling asynchronous collaboration with context-aware AI copilots.
Funding and traction
MeetGeek raised €1.6 million in September 2025 in a round led by Early Game Ventures with participation from Inspire Capital, after tripling revenue over the preceding 12 months to more than $2 million ARR. The round was not publicly labeled by stage and no valuation was disclosed. The company reports 50,000+ teams and 4,000+ client companies across 100+ countries. It was founded in 2020 in Bucharest by three former Ericsson colleagues — Dan Huru (CEO), Raluca-Ștefania Rîșnoveanu (CTO) and Alexandru-Ionuț Mîndru — and Dan Huru is listed in the Founder Institute's graduate portfolio.
Platform and positioning
MeetGeek competes with Otter.ai, Fireflies.ai, tl;dv and Fathom, differentiating on breadth of capture modes, depth of integrations and developer surface. It exposes a documented public REST API (v1, with an OpenAPI spec, regional EU/US endpoints and webhooks), plus both a cloud-hosted OAuth MCP server and an open-source self-hosted MCP server for ChatGPT, Claude, Cursor and other MCP clients — notably available even on the free plan. Native integrations span Salesforce, HubSpot, Pipedrive, Zoho, Close, Attio and Affinity for CRM; Notion, Confluence, Asana, Monday.com and Slack for collaboration; Greenhouse for ATS; Google Drive, OneDrive and Dropbox for storage; and Aircall and RingCentral for dialers, with Zapier, Make and n8n extending reach to 10,000+ apps. Security posture includes SOC 2 Type II, HIPAA, GDPR and CCPA compliance, EU/US data residency, and a zero-data-training policy.
