LightOn is a Paris-based generative AI company that became Europe's first publicly listed GenAI startup when it IPO'd on Euronext Growth Paris in November 2024. LightOn targets European enterprises and public-sector bodies that need sovereign, on-premise deployment and data control. Its multimodal retrieval-augmented generation (RAG) stack supports chunk-level access control, multi-vector retrieval, and data sync from SharePoint, Google Drive and Confluence. Customers include Safran and the Region Ile-de-France.

The platform offers a free Starter tier plus pay-as-you-go usage (roughly EUR 0.002 per page parsed), a Business plan around EUR 149/month plus usage, and custom Enterprise contracts. An MCP integration and developer console make it straightforward to wire retrieval into existing AI agents.
