What Gecko Robotics Does
Gecko Robotics protects critical infrastructure by combining robots, sensors and AI. Its wall-climbing and autonomous robots collect physical data from assets such as power plants, refineries, ships and storage tanks, and its Cantilever platform turns that data into insights that improve operations, optimize spending and extend asset life. The approach gives operators a structural understanding of the built world that manual inspection cannot match.
Customers and Funding
Gecko serves defense and industrial customers including the US Navy, US Air Force, Georgia-Pacific, Marathon, HF Sinclair, ADNOC, Siemens and Mitsubishi. Founded in 2013 by Jake Loosararian, with Troy Demmer and Ian Miller as co-founders, the Pittsburgh-based company reached unicorn status in June 2025, raising $125M at a $1.25B valuation and bringing total funding to roughly $354M from investors including Founders Fund and Y Combinator.
