Gale is a Y Combinator-backed startup building a fast, data-driven immigration platform that automates business visas for American employers, beginning with the H-1B. The H-1B process is famously bureaucratic — lottery registration, detailed petitions, labor condition applications and ongoing compliance — and Gale's platform automates the entire application and compliance workflow end to end, with independent licensed attorneys ensuring accuracy at each step rather than leaving employers to navigate forms and deadlines alone.

The founding team — Rahul (CEO), Rishabh (CTO) and Haokun (CPO) — have been building together since middle school and later studied at the University of Waterloo before working at companies including NVIDIA and Tesla. Having experienced the inefficiencies of the immigration system firsthand as skilled workers, they set out to rebuild it as software, combining AI automation with attorneys-in-the-loop to deliver speed without sacrificing legal rigor.

Gale's core thesis is that the US immigration service market was not built for the 21st century and that a mix of AI and professional oversight can change that. By automating intake, petition assembly and compliance tracking, Gale aims to give employers a faster, more transparent and more predictable path to sponsoring talent, while reducing the manual workload that traditionally makes immigration legal services expensive and slow.

Gale raised approximately $2.7 million in seed funding to automate the administrative work behind US work visa applications, with an initial focus on H-1B petitions. The company has clients, a live product and investors, and is positioned within the 2025 cohort of immigration-tech startups that have graduated from experimentation to real traction.

The company has already begun expanding beyond H-1Bs, with plans to support additional visa categories including O-1s, F, K and TN visas for both businesses and individuals. Gale's longer-term ambition is to become the modern operating layer for US business immigration — a single platform where employers manage sponsorship, compliance and renewals with the speed of software and the assurance of licensed legal review.
