Emergent (Emergent Labs) is an agentic vibe-coding platform founded by ex-Dunzo cofounder and CTO Mukund Jha and his brother Madhav Jha. Users describe what they want to build in natural language, and Emergent's autonomous agents handle the full lifecycle: writing code, designing the UI, wiring integrations, and deploying the result. Unlike copilots that assist individual developers line-by-line, Emergent targets consumers and non-technical builders who want working software end-to-end. The platform saw explosive early traction, surpassing $15M ARR within roughly 90 days of launch and enabling over a million users to create more than 1.5 million apps. In September 2025 it raised a $23M Series A led by Lightspeed (with Y Combinator, Together Fund, Prosus Ventures, and angels including Jeff Dean and Balaji Srinivasan), bringing total funding to about $30M, and is expanding globally including a Palo Alto hub.
