Doss was founded by Wiley Jones, formerly Head of Product at Athelas and a hardware leader at Verkada, and Arnav Mishra, a former Rubrik engineer, after they witnessed firsthand the operational chaos that physical-product companies endure when their inventory, orders, and finances are scattered across spreadsheets and inflexible legacy ERP modules. Doss set out to build an AI-native 'operations cloud' that gives inventory-based businesses real-time control over how goods, orders, and money flow through their operations.
The platform combines modules for inventory management, procurement, order management, finance, and logistics into a single adaptive system, layered with AI-native automation and real-time analytics. Rather than forcing companies to abandon their existing ERP, Doss can plug into ERP systems and serve as the intelligent inventory and operations layer on top, automating the workflows where legacy software falls short. Agentic features handle data entry, reconciliation, and routine operational decisions, while real-time dashboards give operators visibility that batch-oriented legacy systems can't.
Doss focuses on mid-market consumer goods and manufacturing companies — businesses complex enough to need real operations software but underserved by enterprise ERP suites built for the largest manufacturers. The company emphasizes flexibility and speed of deployment, positioning itself as software that adapts to how a business actually runs instead of forcing the business to adapt to the software.
In March 2026, Doss announced a $55 million Series B co-led by Madrona and Premji Invest, with new backers including Intuit Ventures, Greyhound Capital, and Commerce Ventures, and Karan Mehandru of Madrona joining the board. The round followed an $18 million Series A in April 2025 and brought total funding to $73 million.
Doss is betting that the next generation of operations software for the physical economy will be AI-native and inventory-aware, replacing the manual stitching that mid-market operators rely on today.
