Dawn Labs was an applied research lab that built AI-native trading agents for prediction markets such as Polymarket and Kalshi. Its core product, Dawn CLI, let non-technical users describe a trading strategy in plain English, after which the agent automated research, code generation, backtesting, simulation, and live execution end-to-end.
The company was founded in 2025 by Neeraj Prasad, an MIT computer-science graduate who had previously held engineering roles at Waymo, Microsoft, Citadel, and Reservoir Labs and conducted machine-learning research in MIT's neuroscience labs. Dawn targeted the fragmented and technically demanding tooling around active prediction-market trading, betting that natural-language interfaces would expand the addressable user base.
On May 11, 2026, MoonPay announced the acquisition of Dawn Labs on undisclosed terms and relaunched Dawn CLI as a consumer product under MoonPay Labs. Neeraj Prasad joined MoonPay as Chief Engineer of MoonPay Labs, and the full Dawn team moved across as part of the deal.
The acquisition anchors MoonPay's push into AI-native trading infrastructure for prediction markets, complementing its existing payments and on/off-ramp footprint. Dawn Labs as a standalone entity has wound down, with the product, brand, and roadmap now living inside MoonPay Labs.
