Chemify is a Glasgow, Scotland company founded in 2022 by Professor Lee Cronin, who holds the Regius Chair of Chemistry at the University of Glasgow. The company digitizes molecule creation through Chemputation, a machine learning system built on the chemical description language XDL that Cronin created, which translates molecular characteristics into executable code. Chemify says the language lets it eliminate repetitive synthetic steps, avoid reactions that are not reproducible, and run complex reactions that would otherwise be highly labor-intensive. In June 2025 it opened Chemifarm in Maryhill, Glasgow, a $16 million fully automated chemistry facility that the company describes as housing the world's largest curated library of validated chemical reactions. Cronin has said the approach can compress the time to discover a synthetic route and begin making a novel drug molecule from months or years down to hours, days or weeks, and that Chemify has partnerships with six of the twenty largest pharmaceutical companies. The company plans to build a network of digital chemistry hubs internationally, with a Chemifarm facility in Silicon Valley under consideration, and intends to apply the technology beyond pharmaceuticals to catalysts and electronic materials.

Funding

Chemify raised a $50 million Series B announced in October 2025, an oversubscribed round led by Wing Venture Capital and Insight Partners. It previously raised $43 million in Series A funding in August 2023, bringing disclosed total funding to $93 million.
