Buzz Solutions builds an AI-powered platform for visual inspection and monitoring of power grid infrastructure. Its software analyzes imagery from drones, helicopters, and cameras to automatically detect faults, anomalies, and damage on power lines, poles, transformers, and other equipment, using predictive analytics to prioritize maintenance before failures occur. Utilities use Buzz to replace slow, manual inspection processes with fast, consistent AI detection that helps prevent outages and wildfire-igniting equipment failures. Founded in 2017 out of Stanford by Kaitlyn Albertoli and Vikhyat Chaudhry and headquartered in Palo Alto, Buzz Solutions closed a $5 million growth round in March 2024, bringing total funding to roughly $10.7 million from investors including Blackhorn Ventures and GoPoint Ventures.
