Bruna, developed by Chilean company Altum Lab, is an AI platform that helps resource-dependent industries make data-driven production decisions by predicting the quality of incoming raw materials hours, or in agricultural cases months, in advance. Its models forecast raw material quality with lead times of four, eight, or twelve hours and optimize blending to improve efficiency across metal and non-metal mining, agriculture, food, and manufacturing; in one application it helped a Peruvian sugarcane producer predict sugar concentration roughly 90 days before harvest. Founded by Madeleine Valderrama (CEO) and Ismael Valenzuela and based in the Las Condes area of Santiago, Bruna has been recognized as a notable Chilean AI startup and is backed by venture investors. Per Crunchbase, Bruna/Altum Lab has raised seed-stage venture funding to scale its industrial AI platform across Latin America.
