Overview
Abundant builds infrastructure to make AI agents more reliable. Its platform supplies reinforcement-learning environments, datasets, and verifiers, alongside an on-demand human workforce that takes over when an agent hits an edge case it cannot handle, similar to how Waymo uses remote teleoperators. By handing failed tasks to specialized human operators, Abundant aims to keep agents in production while generating high-quality training data, especially for regulated industries like healthcare, legal, and financial services.
Company
Abundant went through Y Combinator's F24 batch. It was founded in 2024 by Jesse Hu, who worked on planning systems for autonomous vehicles at Waymo, along with Ke Huang (ex-YouTube, Brex) and Meji Abidoye (ex-AWS EC2). The company raised a seed round reported around $4.5M as it built out its human-in-the-loop and RL tooling, and has since expanded its focus toward RL environments and verifiers for AI researchers.
