Tim Shi is co-founder and CTO of Cresta, an AI platform for contact centers that provides real-time agent assistance and conversation intelligence. He earned his PhD in computer science at UC Berkeley's BAIR Lab under Pieter Abbeel and previously worked at OpenAI as a member of technical staff, at DJI Research as a deep learning researcher, and at Dropbox in machine learning. At OpenAI he co-authored the influential paper "Deep Reinforcement Learning from Human Preferences," which underpins modern RLHF techniques. He co-founded Cresta in 2017.

Timothée Lacroix is co-founder and CTO of Mistral AI, which he started in April 2023 with Arthur Mensch and Guillaume Lample. He leads Mistral's research and technical direction, including work on Le Chat and the Mistral and Mixtral model families. Before Mistral he was a PhD student and then Research Engineer at Meta AI FAIR, where he contributed to LLaMA and to training-stack optimization for very large language models. He met his co-founders at the École Polytechnique.

He holds an M.Eng. from MIT in computer science and brain & cognitive sciences and was previously a research scientist at OpenAI, where he served as lead engineer on GPT-3 and is the first author of "Language Models are Few-Shot Learners," a paper cited more than 60,000 times. In 2021 he left OpenAI with six other senior researchers to co-found Anthropic alongside Dario and Daniela Amodei.

Varun Mohan is co-founder and former CEO of Windsurf (originally Codeium), an AI-powered IDE used by over a million developers within four months of launch. He earned bachelor's and master's degrees in electrical engineering and computer science from MIT and previously worked at Nuro, Quora, LinkedIn, Databricks, and Samsung. He founded Codeium in 2021 with MIT classmate Douglas Chen, pivoting from GPU virtualization to developer tools. In 2025 he declined a $3 billion OpenAI acquisition offer in favor of a $2.4 billion non-exclusive licensing deal with Google DeepMind, where he now contributes to Gemini.
