InstantDB launched GETadb.com, a service that gives AI coding agents immediate access to a full-stack backend without requiring human intervention for sign-ups or configuration.

The platform provides AI agents with instant credentials for a relational database, sync engine, and built-in abstractions for authentication, presence, and real-time streams. Agents can fetch backend credentials simply by making a GET request to getadb.com/guide.

The service targets AI coding assistants like Claude, GitHub Copilot, and other autonomous development tools that previously hit roadblocks when trying to set up backend infrastructure for applications.

How it works

When an AI agent receives the prompt to "fetch https://www.getadb.com/guide," it gets complete backend credentials and setup instructions. The agent can then build full-stack applications without getting stuck on sign-up screens or dashboard configurations.

Users can claim ownership of their AI-built applications afterward using the command npx instant-cli claim. This lets humans take control once they're satisfied with what their AI agent has created.

The platform includes InstantDB's existing infrastructure: a relational database with real-time synchronization, user authentication systems, and presence tracking for collaborative features.

InstantDB positions the service as solving a common friction point in AI-assisted development. Many coding agents can write application logic but struggle with the administrative overhead of setting up backend services.

The company's approach removes the human bottleneck from the development process. Instead of developers manually configuring databases and authentication systems, AI agents can access these resources directly and build complete applications autonomously.

GETadb.com is available immediately with no sign-up required for the initial agent access, though users need to claim their applications through InstantDB's command-line interface to maintain long-term control.
