Google is upgrading connectors across Gemini Enterprise as it prepares to roll out its Spark agent to business customers.

The enterprise AI platform now displays a glowing prompt bar matching the consumer Gemini app, bringing visual consistency between the two products. More significantly, users are receiving notices that their Google Workspace connectors require reauthorization to continue functioning.

The reauthorization wave suggests Google has expanded permissions or rebuilt the underlying infrastructure. Gemini Enterprise's connector catalog has grown rapidly in recent months, adding integrations with Slack, Microsoft Teams, Notion AI, Linear, Jira, and ServiceNow among dozens of workplace tools.

New capabilities like page creation and ticket updates have been landing steadily across these connectors. The timing of the upgrade aligns with Google's preparation for Gemini Spark, the always-on agent announced at I/O in May.

Spark agent deployment imminent

Gemini Spark now appears behind a feature flag inside Gemini Enterprise, though it remains hidden from users. Google has confirmed the agent will reach enterprise customers soon and will operate through existing connectors including SharePoint, OneDrive, and ServiceNow.

The connector overhaul appears designed to ensure reliable performance when Spark begins working autonomously across company systems. An always-on agent's effectiveness depends entirely on the quality of its underlying integrations.

Google typically deploys such changes gradually across its enterprise customer base. Some organizations may already see portions of the update while others await the rollout.

The visual alignment between consumer and enterprise Gemini products reflects Google's strategy to leverage familiarity. Hundreds of millions of users already interact with the consumer Gemini interface, making the enterprise transition more intuitive.

Google has not specified when the Spark agent will become generally available to Gemini Enterprise customers or detailed the expanded permissions driving the connector reauthorization.
