Nvidia ships efficiency-focused model
Nvidia launched Nemotron 3.5 Lightning, a 30-billion-parameter mixture-of-experts model designed for high-volume agent tasks. The company claims the model delivers 4x faster output than comparable models while completing agentic tasks 30% faster than Qwen3.6-35B at matching accuracy.
Paired with Nvidia's new NeMo Switchyard routing library, the system can retain frontier-level task completion while cutting costs to roughly one-third of running Anthropic's Opus 4.8 alone.
