Anthropic launched a suite of connectors that integrate Claude directly into creative software, targeting professionals in design, music production, and 3D modeling.
The AI safety lab released eight new connectors spanning major creative platforms. Adobe's connector covers 50+ Creative Cloud tools including Photoshop and Premiere Pro. Blender's connector provides natural-language access to its Python API for 3D artists.
Other connectors include Autodesk Fusion for 3D model creation, Affinity by Canva for batch production tasks, and Splice for music sample searches. Live performance tools Resolume Arena and Wire gained real-time control through natural language.
Creative workflow integration
The connectors enable Claude to handle repetitive production work like batch-processing assets and project scaffolding setup. Artists can use Claude as an on-demand tutor for complex software features or generate custom scripts and plugins.
Claude can also bridge tools in multi-application pipelines, translating formats and keeping assets synchronized across design, 3D, and audio software without manual handoffs.
Blender's connector stands out as officially developed by the Blender team using the Model Context Protocol (MCP). This makes it accessible to other language models beyond Claude, reflecting Blender's open-source philosophy.
Anthropic made a donation to support Blender's Python API development. The connector allows 3D artists to analyze entire scenes, debug complex setups, and build custom tools directly within Blender's interface.
Educational partnerships
Anthropic partnered with three academic programs: Art and Computation at Rhode Island School of Design, Fundamentals of AI for Creatives at Ringling College, and Computational Arts at Goldsmiths, University of London.
Students and faculty receive access to Claude and the new connectors. Their feedback will inform future development for creative practitioners.
The company also announced Claude Design, a separate product from Anthropic Labs for exploring software experience ideas with export capabilities to tools like Canva.
The connectors are available now through Claude's platform, expanding AI assistance beyond text generation into hands-on creative production workflows.
