Google Ventures (GV) is the venture capital arm of Alphabet, founded in 2009 and based in Mountain View, California. The firm deploys approximately $1 billion annually across early- and growth-stage technology investments, with around half of 2025 commitments directed at AI. GV made 62 investments in 2025 and backs more than 50 AI-native companies. Notable AI portfolio companies include Harvey, Hebbia, Synthesia, Snorkel, SambaNova, Modular, Lightmatter, insitro, and Isomorphic Labs. Recent activity: follow-on backing of Harvey as it surpassed $100M ARR.
