Lucy Guo

Lucy Guo co-founded Scale AI in 2016, where she led operations and product design before leaving in 2018, retaining a roughly 5% stake. After Meta's 2025 transaction valuing Scale above $29B she became one of the youngest self-made female billionaires. In 2022 she founded Passes, a creator-subscription platform that has raised over $65M. She also runs Backend Capital, an early-stage fund she started in 2019 to back engineering-led startups.
