Microsoft is a US technology corporation headquartered in Redmond, Washington, founded in 1975, and one of the largest strategic AI investors. Through commitments to OpenAI it has deployed roughly $11.6 billion of a $13 billion pledge, holding a 26.79% economic stake in OpenAI Group PBC following the October 2025 restructuring. Notable AI partnerships include OpenAI, Mistral, and Inflection.
